Floods

In August 2007, India was hit by the worst flood in 10 years. ADRA helped 1150 families consisting of 5750 people in the district of Begusarai. At the beginning, first aid packs were distributed. They contained water purification devices, anti-bacterial crèmes, halogen tablets, tent canvas for makeshift accommodation and other indispensable items. Then we secured access to drinking water and sanitary facilities.
