Volunteer centre ADRA – České Budějovice
ADRA's volunteer centre in České Budějovice intermediates between volunteers and institutions receiving people in need, like several institutions of social services and a low-threshold centre for children and youth from socially disadvantaged backgrounds. Our goal is to offer meaningful leisure activities to people of all ages and to identify those who need help (poor, disabled, people in need).
The goal of the effort and work of ADRA's volunteer centre is not only to provide care for the elderly, children and youth but also to contribute to a positive perception of non-governmental non-profit organizations in South Bohemia, to systematically involve young people in programmes and various activities for the benefit of their communities and to create a good background for their work so that volunteering comes to be accepted as a natural part of societal life.
