Do you want to be involved?

Another way to participate in our activities is volunteering, both regular, long-term involvement and an occasional or one-time help.

1. Occasional or one-time volunteering

A good example of this form of volunteering are the floods that hit the Czech Republic in 2002. Without more than 3000 volunteers, we would not have been able to deliver help where it was most needed, be it manual work or moral encouragement for the victims. In 2004, the Ministry of Interior of the Czech Republic awarded us an accreditation for volunteering.
If you are busy but would like to help anyway, you can offer your abilities and experience for organizing of various events like fund-raising campaigns (e.g. the campaign Everyone can help that runs in the whole country), informational campaigns and social events. In this case, you should approach an ADRA branch in your vicinity. It will get in touch with you when an opportunity arises for you to be involved.

You can also help to load and unload humanitarian help. This activity is geared in particular to men from Prague and its vicinity (call 257 090 641       or write to adra@adra.cz for more information).

2. Long-term volunteering

You can take part in activities of our branches in the whole Czech Republic. Please contact a volunteer centre (Frýdek-Místek, Třinec, Valašské Meziříčí, Prostějov, Prague Protěž, České Budějovice) or our headquarters in Prague Smíchov for more information.
